Six years after Luke received his first piano at age 13, he traveled to Las Vegas from the shadows of an Indian reservation in Arizona, determined to
take his music to the next level. Hungry and desperate, Luke lied about his lack of equipment to land a paying gig with an R&B band. Eventually his
deception was exposed, but Lukes talent and charisma was impressive enough that the bandleader forgave him and even lent him a dilapidated
keyboard until he was able to afford his own. From that golden opportunity, Luke began performing at the top casinos on the Las Vegas Strip as well
as other venues worldwide. Hailed as an astral-funk wake-up call to the local Vegas music scene, Luke generated a devoted following that revered
his captivating stage persona and Stevie Wonder-meets-Paul Oakenfold sound. His debut CD, In My Room (2002), went on to win first-place honors
over 10,000 other entrants for Best Modern Rock Album during the Just Plain Folks 2004 awards show in Santa Ana, CA."
