the felt impression of an interior landscape.
Multi-layered and transparent yet infused with
solid clarity. My mission as an artist is to
visually communicate the juxtapositions felt by
the experiences we all share. Each painting is a
continual growth and expansion from all the
images created before the present one. An
emotive channeling of energy expressed
through brush and paint. When painting I feel
an almost euphoric or state of disconnectivity
much like the term "The Encounter."
The encounter is a term coined by the
surrealists (Dali, Breton, ManRay) to describe
the the state of creativity found when time and
space seems irrelevant. This never-ending
search for answers within this "Interior
Landscape" is what compels the creative
person to artistic obsession as well as self
revelation in a society of plasticity and facade.
