Raised in The Bronx on Hip Hop, Funk, Rock and
Gospel music, TRAEDONYA was a music baby, born
into a life of music via her mother, who had a great
passion for all good music. An international party girl,
TRAEDONYA is a lover of good music and good people.
Her journey has taken her through many travels
starting out at a very young age singing in church and
being in love with Rock, Funk and Punk. Recording
one of Hip Hop's first Big Band albums on Elektra
records with her Funked out Hip Hop/Jazz band
"Sample This!", TRAEDONYA has grown into a fiesty
yet very cool and patient individual. Her fan base is
consistent and constantly growing. Studying Jazz and
Classical Music with Mr. Reggie Workman, Mr. Chico
Hamilton, Mr. MaKanda McCintyre and of course Mr.
Bernard "Pretty Purlie" Purdy. TRAEDONYA has a
vocal musical pedigree that is very hard to touch and
very hard to find, not to mention her presence on and
off stage. Living in London, England for almost 4 years
and spending extensive time in other parts of Ireland
and The United Kingdom, TRAEDONYA is Generation
X's perennial party girl. Her sound, swagger, attitude
and appearance are all international. She's a funky
peacock that crosses many boundaries and color lines.
Few artists can do it with ease, TRAEDONYA does.
Touring many parts of Europe and more than half of
the United States TRAEDONYA lives on the road, and
"lives the music". Her songs represent Peace, Freedom
and Love, yet her music is raw and edgy. If you've ever
been to a TRAEDONYA performance, you know that
the experience is for real, the beats are hardcore and
the room is always vibrating, creating its own stance.
People leave happy, fired up and knowing who she is, if
they didn't before. Her proof is more than just pudding.
Currently TRAEDONYA is on a West Coast Tour
promoting her current single "Beloved" on Prohibition
Entertainment (New York/London), which is currently
getting national club chart attention across the
country. It is a "Freedom" song, that moves the club.
The lyrics are strong and the music is equally
fascinating. The video for "Beloved" is also currently
spinning in different regions through out The States
and Europe. "Beloved" is bass driven and has five
different mixes that are all making noise in different
regions, the original mix was produced by Asen aka
